How Binary to Decimal Conversion Works
Each digit in a binary number represents a power of 2. The rightmost digit represents 20, the next represents 21, then 22, and so on.
To convert: multiply each digit by its corresponding power of 2, then sum all the products.
Example: 10102 = (1 × 23) + (0 × 22) + (1 × 21) + (0 × 20) = 8 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 1010
